I'm Stef, the maker behind Goly Natural.
I was born and raised in the countryside of northern Portugal, where life moved with the seasons and nature was simply part of everyday life. My earliest memories are filled with olive groves, wild herbs, homemade remedies, and women who knew that sometimes the simplest ingredients were the ones that worked best.
Those lessons stayed with me.
After moving to Portsmouth more than a decade ago, I found myself returning to those traditions. What began as making gentle products for my own family slowly became an obsession with understanding the skin, the ingredients we use every day, and the connection between the two.
I spent years studying formulation, herbalism, aromatherapy, and skin health, testing hundreds of recipes until each product felt exactly as it should.
There were no shortcuts.
No miracle ingredients.
Just time, patience, and a desire to make skincare that was genuinely kind to the skin.
Today, every product is still made by hand in small batches using carefully selected natural ingredients. We use nourishing plant oils, botanical extracts, mineral-rich clays, raw butters, beeswax, grass-fed tallow where appropriate, and pure essential oils—never synthetic fragrances.
Because what you leave out matters just as much as what you put in.
Our Philosophy
At Goly Natural, we believe skincare should be simple.
Your skin doesn't need twenty-step routines or shelves full of products promising impossible results. It needs nourishment, consistency, and ingredients your skin can recognise.

Why We Make Soap Properly
Soap is where Goly Natural began, and it's still at the heart of everything we do.
Our soaps are traditionally cold processed, allowing the natural glycerin created during saponification to remain in every bar. That glycerin helps draw moisture to the skin, leaving it feeling comfortable rather than stripped.
Many commercial "soap" bars found in supermarkets are actually synthetic detergent bars. They're designed to cleanse efficiently, but they often rely on harsher surfactants and contain little or none of the naturally produced glycerin that makes real soap so nourishing.
We choose the slower way because we believe real soap should care for your skin, not just clean it.
